Natuurgebied Tureluur

Discover the beautiful Tureluur nature reserve on the south coast of Schouwen-Duiveland. This vast area is filled with marshes, creeks, and channels, where various bird species have made their home. Although most of the area is not accessible, you can enjoy beautiful views from the dikes.

To the south of the provincial road lies the Prunjepolder, where you can reach the Zuidkaap lookout tower via unpaved paths and a bridge over the creek. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the creeks. With a bit of luck, you may spot various birds, including curlews, spoonbills, and avocets. The tureluur, after which the nature reserve is named, feels right at home here.
