The Blue Flag organization evaluates beaches and marinas in more than 30 countries each year. The international environmental award assesses whether participating beaches and marinas are clean and safe. In May 2022, we raised the Blue Flag on Schouwen-Duiveland on the beaches at Rotonde Westenschouwen, Vuurtorenpad Nieuw-Haamstede, Wilhelminahoeve and Jan van Renesseweg in Renesse and Brouwersdam-Scharendijke. The marinas of Bruinisse and Den Osse and the city harbors of Brouwershaven and Zierikzee are also allowed to fly the Blue Flag.
