Vuurtoren Westerlicht (Nieuw-Haamstede)

The Westerlicht Lighthouse in Nieuw-Haamstede is one of the tallest lighthouses in the Netherlands. Designed by L. Valk and built in 1837, this tower served as inspiration for the 250-guilder banknote. With a height of 53 meters above ground level and a light height of 58 meters above sea level, the tower is impressive. Unfortunately, the tower is not accessible to the public, but the exterior is still worth a visit. Admire this iconic building and enjoy the breathtaking view of the surroundings.
