Skazka Kwartet

The Skazka Quartet will celebrate its first lustrum (fifth anniversary) in 2025 and has secured a permanent place in the international quartet landscape. "Skazka" means fairy tale in Russian, and that is what the quartet strives for: telling stories. As winners of the Storioni Competition in 2022, they have performed nationally and internationally on major concert stages, including the Concertgebouw, in recent seasons. In the atmospheric church in Noordgouwe, with its brilliant acoustics, they will perform their program ‘Fantasias in Four Parts,’ featuring excerpts from that work by Henry Purcell, String Quartet Op. 20 No. 6 by Joseph Haydn, and the second String Quartet by William Walton.

Lena ter Schegget and Dmitri Ivanov, violin | Sam Tsai, viola | Emma Besselaar, cello
