The bird paradise of the South Coast of Schouwen is a unique experience. Tens of thousands of birds search for food on the mudflats and sandbanks during low tide and fly inland during high tide to roost safely behind the dike. The area is part of the Oosterschelde National Park and is included in the European network of protected nature areas: Natura 2000.
