Off-leash area Schelphoek

After the North Sea Flood of 1953, the creek at Schelphoek was formed by closing the breaches in the dikes and constructing a ring dike around it. Today, it is a beautiful nature reserve with forest and a rich variety of flora and fauna. In the eastern part of the Schelphoek, dogs are allowed off-leash on the trails. This area lies between Fritureluur and the Schelphoek viewpoint. In the rest of the area, dogs are welcome in the forest but must be kept on a leash.
